This role provides the opportunity to utilise your Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support decision-making expertise to truly make a difference in people's lives.
Hours: Part-time (25 hours per week)
Rate: £24.50 per hour (Umbrella)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Fully Remote
Role Overview:
As a Benefits Officer, you'll play an integral role in maintaining and making decisions on Housing Benefit awards for working and pension age customers, aiding them in better affording their rent and associated Council Tax Reduction awards. Your role will be essential in helping customers facing additional financial hardships by managing applications for discretionary help. Furthermore, you will handle complex claims and customer appeals.
Key Requirements:
Essential:
- 5+ years of Housing Benefit/Council Tax Support decision making experience.
- Experience in Discretionary Housing Payments and Income & expenditure assessments.
- Proficiency in using Civica OPENRevenues.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Comino EDMS.
