The Role
Job Description – Assembler/Finisher:
The role of Finisher involves fitting a range of components to the painted truck bodies, through all stages of the Assembly process. The tasks include:
- Fitting moving parts to the bodies using pins, eg ramps
- Assemble sub-assemblies off the truck
- Bolting and screwing components to the bodies
- Fitting and fastening decking material to the structure, including timber and steel mesh
- Fitting decals and stickers to the painted bodies
Essential Requirements:
- Must have a good personal responsibility and awareness of safe working practices.
- Must have a good knowledge of basic hand and power tools related to trade to ensure correct equipment is used for each individual task.
- Must have woodworking or mechanical experience.
- Must be a reliable timekeeper.
The ideal candidate would have experience working with timber.
Pay Rate and Benefits:
- £12.50 per hour starting rate.
- Rising to £13.00 minimum on successful completion of probation period, with further progression after 1 year.
- Company provided lunch Tuesdays and Thursdays up to a value of £9 per week.
- Generous weekly bonus scheme paying £30 in cash every week that targets are achieved, assuming targets are met 80% of the time this is worth an additional £0.61 per hour!
- 38 hour week. Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm, Friday 7am to 11am.
- Extra 3 days discretionary holiday to cover Christmas break.
