Chiltern Railways are responsible for operating a rail service from London Marylebone through to Birmingham, with many stops in-between around the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire areas.
Chiltern Railways are seeking an Operations Training Administrator to join the busy and sociable team, working from our Banbury office with hybrid working. This post would suit someone who is keen to join a company that really puts people and culture at the heart of its business. Being highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, the role of the Training Operations Administrator is to oversee day-to-day responsibilities for the department, including scheduling and booking resources. You will also be providing clerical and administrative support.

Oversee the purchasing requirements of the operational training team, including safety publicationsResponsibility for the order, supply and replacement of operational staff uniforms and equipment
Ordering of stationery for managers and mailing employees, as necessary
Booking accommodation, travel and external training arrangements for trainers and apprentice drivers
Booking and scheduling speakers as part of apprentice drivers' coursework
Booking and arranging driving instructors and assessors for apprentice drivers
Updating training schedule as needed
Keeping records of annual leave requests and allowances for apprentice drivers
Maintaining accurate records of sickness and absence of apprentice drivers
Keeping accurate records of all apprentice drivers handling hours
Updating and collating information for eyewear and hearing register
Administrative and clerical assistance as required including submission of expenses for apprentice drivers, and car parking permits
This post requires a candidate with excellent organisational and social skills, and the ability to manage themselves and their time effectively
The candidate would need to be computer literate and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software
A degree of flexibility would be required as some responsibilities (uniform supply for example) would not be constant
Due to the nature of the work, the candidate could be privileged to personal information, thus they would need to be of the highest integrity and be able to always maintain confidentiality
